We walked inside (from the main gate) and then climbed up the rampart on the windmill side and walked to the exit (so we did not do the whole walk around). It was 0 degree just before Christmas and felt this was enough for our party of 9 people including a 3 year old. We probably spent about 30minutes there. I hope this will help future travellers.
