For Non Members of English Heritage yes and I think it may be around £4.50 per adult. The best way however to see this, and several hundred other properties, is to take out a membership which in 2017 was around £50.00 for 12 months and so, after visiting as few as 12 properties situated all over the UK you'd have 'got back' your money.
Q:
Is there a cafe?
A:
There is no official cafe as that was got rid of during the improvements...however there is 'Mollys at Chimes' which is a 2 mins walk away, opposite the church in the village centre.
Q:
Can dogs go in and up to the top?
A:
Hi Sophie dogs are allowed in the grounds only, and must be kept on a lead. The stairs up to the top of the castle are very narrow and steep.
