Are the dogs only allowed along the sidewalk or are they allowed on the beach too? According to the Gulf Island National Seashore website:" Pets are not allowed in the following areas (service animals exempt): - On all park beaches in Florida for safety reasons, this regulation is consistent with Florida State Law."

At Davis Bayou dogs are allowed at the campground and sidewalks. Don't know about trails and beaches. Near Pensacola Beach there is a Beach area for dogs on the road leading to the national seashore. Dogs also ate allowed in the campground.
Yes......do they take reservations for the camping. We are thinking about coming down the week of Thanksgiving or the week of Christmas......we usually make reservations through Reserve America. If not, what are the chances of getting a spot? np
