The House of Blues when it was the Avalon was a great place to see a band, now it's a soulless concrete bar with no place to sit unless you pay for VIP, or want to sit in a puddle of beer on the floo… Full review by Ken A
Where is the closest place to park? Also do we have to be concerned about that lot filling up quickly? Do you recommend we get there a half hour or so before the concert? Thank you, Grace

We caught the subway and preferred that. They took our selfie stick but gave it back after the show and were very friendly about it.
I have only been there once but Marianas Trench ended at 10:30. Doors opened 7pm with a dj, 2nd act was 8 pm, main act was 9 to 10:30. Easy to subway, 3 min walk
