This site is a great visit. They have preserved the house and surrounding acreage so it is good for hiking. The visitor’s center is minimal but has helpful staff that offered a free tour. Full review by esprouls47

Do I have to go on a tour to see Pres. Buren's or may I go on my own? Thanks!

You cannot view the home's interior without being on a tour with a park ranger (but there is no cost for the tour!)

how long does it take to visit the home and grounds?
A:
It takes about 1 hour to tour the house. We visited on a rainy day, so we did walk around the grounds but I would say they are nothing special to see.
