There are two public beaches that I know of, one is at Three Mile Point where there is a nice swimming beach and picnic area. This beach is fairly small but very nice. There is a larger swimming area at Glimmerglass State Park which is on the opposite side of the lake from Three Mile Point. lt has been a while since I have been there but if I remember correctly is you drive down the main street past the Baseball Hall of Fame (on your right and the Lake Front Motel on the left) follow the road left and simply follow the lake the road goes completely around the lake and about a third of the way down the lake you will find the entrance to Glimmerglass State Park with its large swimming beach and I believe a camping area. A little bit of a drive but well worth the effort, pack a lunch and spend the whole day. Awesome way to truly enjoy one of the nicest lakes you will ever swim in. Elaine L.
