This was our favorite beach for shelling. The kids found tons of konk shells, BIG ones! It's right in the middle of the island. Parking is a short walk away and its $5/hr. Full review by jacobbB4757NG

The beach at Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs is a small, neighborhood type beach park. Beach is small and the water is St. Joseph Sound, not the gulf, so it's not the best for swimming. It's a nice place to relax or have a picnic though. They have pedal boat/kayak rentals in the summer I believe. Parking is $5 for the day. People fish from here as well.
