Hi! what city would you stay in to visit this slot canyon? i was thinking of visiting in between Bryce and Page, AZ...does that make sense?? thanks for your help!

Hello! We stayed at Rubys for this, and it was approximately 35-45 mins drive time to the slots. I believe Tropic is a bit closer.
For those who visited recently is the road okay for a Toyota Corolla sedan?

I drove to Willis Creek with muddy conditions in a Toyota Highlander. Certainly, I met other hikers with low-clearance and without AWD. However, if the weather has been wet during the past couple of weeks, you take a chance of losing traction. The road is narrow, with water diversion gullies and no bridges or culverts. Conditions can be a bit risky. I was lost on my first attempt because a local told me to turn at the first road on the right: the correct road was second. I met fellow hikers in a low-clearance vehicle and paired-up with them to the trailhead, a smart move if you can caravan with another vehicle. The red clay road is a long hike out if you get into trouble. The little slot canyon is not such a great reward that you should take a big risk. You must climb significantly on the road, so be cautious. Be sure to pack plenty of water.
Is spring a bad season to visit. I am guessing that it is unsafe with all the rains, especially this year?
A:
Getting very little rain and snow this year, though it's happening in other parts of Utah. Trails in the area you're interested in are quite dry. Even when it does rain, it dries out quickly anyway.
