This week, a federal judge sided with Harvard in one of its two lawsuits, blocking an order by President Trump to prevent international students from enrolling.

The Sterling Law Building houses the Yale Law School in New Haven. Of the nine justices on the U.S. Supreme Court, four graduated from Yale Law School, prompting some to urge President Joe Biden to appoint someone from a public-college background to fill an upcoming vacancy on the court.

As legal battles drag out, and possibly work their way up to a firmly conservative Supreme Court, the school is at an increasing disadvantage, some observers point out.
