The police chase that led to Atlanta rapper Young Scooter dying from a freak injury may have been sparked by a fake 911 call about a naked woman being held hostage, according to cops offering a $5,000 reward in the hunt for the mystery caller.

Despite rumors circulating online, officials say Young Scooter "injured himself on organic (wooden) fencing material and/or woody debris"

An unidentified caller reported violent activities and an injured woman at the home where Young Scooter later fled from police, resulting in his death.

Officers said Demetria Spence, 31, has been charged with transmitting a false public alarm and was taken to the Fulton County Jail on Tuesday.

Young Thug appears to suggest there were more factors contributing to the death of Young Scooter than police led the public to believe just as the suspected 911 caller linked to the incident has allegedly been exposed.

Preliminary autopsy results for Kenneth Edward Rashaad Bailey, better known by his stage name, Young Scotter, have been released.

Young Scooter's son Kenneth Bailey Jr. reacted to his father's death in a series of heartbreaking Instagram posts. The rapper died in Atlanta on March 28 at age 39 after a police chase.
