The man, identified by Denali National Park and Preserve as 41-year-old Alex Chiu, fell 3,000 feet from Denali's West Buttress route onto the Peters Glacier on Monday.
According to a statement from the National Park Service (NPS), 41-year-old Alex Chiu of Seattle, Washington, fell from a point on the mountain’s West Buttress route called Squirrel Point.
