Bong Joon Ho and Robert Pattinson kicked off the long-awaited launch of Mickey 17 with the first official press event for the movie in the Korean capital of Seoul on Monday.

For those who don’t know, Mickey 17 marks director Bong Joon-ho’s first movie after his successful movie Parasite (2019). The movie premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where it became the first Korean film to win its top prize. Mickey 17 will be released on the big screens on March 7, 2025.

Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho is back with Mickey 17, a sci-fi film starring Robert Pattinson in the lead role. The film releases in theatres in March.

Based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton, the film stars Pattinson as an “expendable” employee sent on dangerous missions, who is “re-printed” after dying. The story unfolds when his company makes an 18 th iteration, not realising that Mickey 17 is still alive. The cast also includes Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo.
