The FAA issued a nationwide ground stop for all American Airlines flights on Christmas Eve due to a “technical issue.”

A brief nationwide American Airlines ground stop was a traveler's worst nightmare Tuesday on Christmas Eve. A total of 25 American Airlines flights from Boston were delayed during what's expected to be the airline's busiest holiday season on record.

American Airlines flights across the nation were disrupted Tuesday by a reported technical issue, but the hour-long ground stop has been lifted and flights have resumed at airports, including San Diego International Airport.
