The Cleveland Guardians were rolling and playing some of their best baseball of the season coming out of the All-Star Break. However, they hit a roadblock in Missouri with a series loss against the Kansas City Royals. The Guardians split Saturday’s doubleheader but lost Sunday’s rubber match in a frustrating fashion.

Noah Cameron pitched five scoreless innings, Maikel Garcia hit a home run and the host Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Guardians on July 27.

The Kansas City Royals used good pitching, situational hitting and a good eye at the plate to take the series from the Cleveland Guardians with a 4-1 win. They are now a half game back of the Guardians and 4-5 versus them this season.

Friday's Cleveland Guardians at Kansas City Royals game was postponed due to inclement weather. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday.
