Drake Maye completed a little less than half of his passes in 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 drills. He had another botched snap late in the practice, this time with veteran Garrett Bradbury. Coach Mike Vrabel didn’t make the team run for the mistake, opting to keep the practice moving and sub in the second-stringers.

FOXBOROUGH — It was a hot day at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday as the New England Patriots took the field for the second straight padded practice. The competition is certainly ramping up, but it was the defense that came out on top during the sixth training camp session.

The PUP (Physically Unable To Perform) list continues to get smaller for the Patriots. Veteran tight end Austin Hooper making his summer debut for the Pats on Day 6 of Training Camp Tuesday. The offensive unit itself had a slow start to the session in Foxboro but finishing strong.
