The Emmy Award won by Joan Rivers in 1990 for her daytime talk show is one of the few things grabbed by her daughter Melissa Rivers as she fled her Pacific Palisades home before it fell victim to the Los Angeles fires.

In the frantic moments before flames devoured her Pacific Palisades residence, Melissa Rivers managed to rescue precious mementos of her late mother, Joan Rivers, including a coveted Emmy Award and an irreplaceable family drawing.

"I grabbed my mom's Emmy, a photo of my dad and a drawing that my mother had done of me and my son," Melissa Rivers says
