An unusual monsoon pattern has increased the chance for rare July thunderstorms in the Southland. Meteorologists say the biggest concern is dry lightning starting a fire, but there's also a chance for flash flooding and debris flows.

San Bernardino County is the focus of an updated flash flood warning released at 10:54 p.m. on Thursday by the National Weather Service. The warning is in effect until Friday June 6, at 12:30 a.m.
