Prince William doesn't plan to live in Buckingham Palace as king and will stay at his new home Forest Lodge "forever."

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead approved renovation plans for Forest Lodge that included replacing doors and windows, stripping interior walls, renovating ceilings, and repairing floors with a minimalist update,

The Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children are set to move into the eight-bedroom house in Windsor Great Park by the end of the year—but the move is not without drama.

Luckily, Forest Lodge, the 328-year-old mansion in Windsor Great Park, looks an absolutely ideal spot for the family of five to begin again, with plenty of greenery surrounding it (something the Princess has routinely said is important to her) and more than enough room for the three royal children.

The outlet also suggested that Forest Lodge is a "considerable upgrade" from Adelaide Cottage. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis's new home includes a "chandelier-lit ballroom, tennis court, Venetian windows, and extensive grounds," per the publication.
