Minnesota lawmakers are demanding answers following reports that several buildings in the state may be closed as part of a slew of federal cuts by the Trump administration.

The 443 assets comprise nearly 80 million square feet, with a total recapitalization cost of $8.3 billion, the GSA said.

The US government is considering selling a sprawling portfolio of properties across 47 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, part of President Donald Trump’s campaign to shrink the federal workforce — and the buildings it occupies.
