One tornado swirled through fields near El Campo, Texas, on Thursday, about midway between Houston and Victoria. Another twister touched down near Atascocita in Harris County, then moved over Lake Houston.

Multiple tornadoes tore through the Houston area on Saturday, marking the second time this week that the region has been hit by severe weather. Early Saturday, tornadoes were reported in multiple areas surrounding the Texas city home to more than 2 million people,

At least one person was killed and several injured as storms roared across Texas and other parts of the South Saturday. Areas around Houston were especially hard hit, with homes destroyed and tens of thousands of power outages reported.
