Thailand is committed to holding bilateral talks on June 14 to resolve a border issue with Cambodia, the Foreign Ministry said Saturday as tensions

The Thai government on Thursday issued its second statement confirming that Thailand does not accept the International Court of Justice’s jurisdiction, a position it has maintained since 1960. The statement emphasized that the Thailand-Cambodia border dispute should be handled under the JBC framework.

Tensions between Thailand and Cambodia have escalated as both nations reinforce military presence along their shared border. Despite dialogue efforts, recent skirmishes and nationalist sentiments have prompted Thailand's military to bolster defenses.
