His band is called the Joe Perry Project. The band is comprised of musicians that are very familiar names from the world of classic rock.

Joe Perry announced a series of August performances with his band, The Joe Perry Project, with special guests including his Aerosmith band mates Brad Whitford and Buck Johnson.

Joe Perry, who is best known as the longtime lead guitarist of rock icons Aerosmith, will lead a band with Chris Robinson and Stone Temple Pilots members.
