An ex-employee of Sacred Heart University facing sex crime charges called himself “an evil of the world” in a pre-written apology note found by investigators after he was arrested by an undercover cop posing as a 14-year-old girl last week.

Sacred Heart University employee Matthew Janik accused of trying to arrange sex with minor described himself as "an evil of the world," police say.

Matthew Janik, 39, of Seymour is charged with enticing a minor by computer, attempted second-degree sex assault of a minor, and two other charges.

The arrest was made by Bloomfield police, who worked in conjunction with the Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, following an investigation into online enticement of children.
