Axios on MSNRepublican moves to expel Rep. LaMonica McIver from CongressRep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) said Wednesday she is filing a resolution to expel Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.) from Congress after the Justice Department charged her with allegedly assaulting law enforcement.
DOJ charges against Rep. LaMonica McIver are "extreme" and "outrageous," according to 11 former Republican lawmakers.
The governor then stated that McIver had every right to be at Delaney Hall to inspect the facility where detained immigrants were being held. “I would argue, even though Mayor Baraka isn't a congressperson, he had every right to inspect that building and I hope this gets resolved sooner than later,” Murphy said.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R., S.C.) on Wednesday introduced a resolution to expel Rep. LaMonica McIver (D., N.J.) from the House after the Justice Department charged the first-term Democrat with assaulting a federal officer during a confrontation outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility earlier this month.
