The New York Rangers finally secured a victory in their west coast road trip by routing the San Jose Sharks 6-1 on Saturday. Unlike previous efforts, the Rangers won puck battles, outshot the opponent and found ways to strike the back of the net,

The Rangers grabbed a 2-0 lead on a pair of Artemi Panarin goals in the first period and headed to the finish line with a 6-1 win Saturday.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom made his highly-anticipated season debut on Sunday. Spending the first nine years of his MLB career with the New York Mets, deGrom won two Cy Young Awards and made four All-Star teams.

The Rangers won three straight after dropping the series opener. Red Sox DH Rafael Devers went 0-4 with two strikeouts and a walk. Devers went 0 for 16 in the series with 12 strikeouts.
