I-80 east in NJ reopens following repair of massive sinkhole
NJDOT officials say I-80 eastbound reopened around 8 a.m. Monday after crews made the needed repairs to fix a massive sinkhole near mile post 34 in Wharton, Morris County. Starting December 26, crews worked around the clock and through the holiday weekend to repair the 40-foot by 40-foot sinkhole that revealed an abandoned mine underneath.
