Woodson was selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL draft out of the University of California. For his final three years with the Golden Bears, Woodson had a starting role. Specifically in 2024, he recorded 45 solo tackles, two interceptions, and nine pass breakups across 13 games.

The Patriots announced a couple of transactions on Tuesday afternoon. They have signed linebacker R.J. Moten to the 90-man roster. The spot for Moten opened up when the Patriots put fullback Brock Lampe on injured reserve.

On Tuesday, the Patriots placed undrafted rookie fullback Brock Lampe on the season-ending injured reserve. In a corresponding move, the Patriots signed linebacker R.J. Moten to their 90-man roster. Moten most recently played for the Michigan Panthers of the UFL.
