DPS closed southbound Loop 303 for a crash that involved a pedestrian. According to a report, a man was believed to be retrieving a ladder that fell off his vehicle when they were struck by a truck. The pedestrian died at the scene.

Southbound Loop 303 is closed near Peoria Avenue in Surprise. A person was hit by a car while trying to pick up a ladder in the roadway, according to DPS. The person who was hit died at the scene. Drivers should expect delays and look for an alternate route if possible.
