Thousands of police officers, family members, and civilians are arriving at Rocket Arena Wednesday morning for the funeral of fallen Lorain officer Phillip Wagner.

Thousands gathered Wednesday morning at Rocket Arena in both grief and gratitude, drawn together to honor the life of Lorain police officer Phillip Wagner, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

During a public memorial service Wednesday for Lorain police officer Phillip Wagner — who died last week following an ambush shooting that also injured two other officers — Lorain Mayor Jack Bradley declared July 24 as Officer Phillip Wagner Day.
