With protests over immigration enforcement raids, as well as planned demonstrations against President Trump over the weekend happening locally and nationwide, Portland city and county leaders say this could lead to a lot more activity in the area.

A few hundred protesters gathered in Freeport as the morning began, while larger demonstrations are expected later in Portland, Augusta, Lewiston-Auburn and elsewhere.
As the military presence ramped up in Los Angeles, communities are preparing for the largest protests against Trump since he took office.
