Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, was taken into custody shortly after Delta Flight 2809 touched down at about 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said. The sheriff's office said it received a tip about the alleged sex abuse of a child in April. An arrest warrant for Bhagwagar was subsequently obtained.

Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, a former San Ramon resident who currently lives in Florida, was arrested and dragged off a plane by federal agents just after landing in San Francisco on Saturday.

Delta Airlines co-pilot Rustom Bhagwagar, of Indian origin, was arrested straight from the cockpit in San Francisco for allegedly assaulting a child under 10. He faces five felony charges and $5 million bail.
