Comedian Shane Gillis' opening monologue as host of the ESPYS went over awkwardly in front of some of the biggest names in sports on Wednesday night.
ESPN announced in June that Gillis would host the 33rd ESPY Awards. He previously appeared on “College GameDay” — even rubbing analyst Nick Saban the wrong way with a comment by calling him Alabama Jones — and is an avid Eagles and Notre Dame fan.
