Southwest Airlines is bringing record-high service to one Texas city, the Dallas-based airline said as it extended its flight schedule through Nov. 1 and added yet another route to Austin.  In all, the new routes announced Thursday include service between San Diego and Fresno,

Travelers will soon be able to catch a nonstop Southwest Airlines flight from the Jacksonville International Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Southwest Airlines plans to offer direct flights from Jacksonville to Austin, Texas, in October, joining Delta Air Lines, which will also fly direct to the Texas capital. The new batch of Jacksonville-Austin flights are scheduled to begin on Oct.

Southwest Airlines announced it will increase service between Columbus and San Diego, Dallas Love Field and Orlando beginning in October. Southwest's options to San Diego will go from a Saturday-only and summer-only nonstop route to near-daily departures year-round, according to a Columbus Regional Airport Authority press release.

The airline announced that it will begin offering daily non-stop flights between Fresno and San Diego beginning October 2.
