Chennai: In yet another tragedy in a fireworks unit in Tamil Nadu, six workers perished and one person was injured in an explosion at Sainath Fireworks in Bommaiyapuram near Sattur in south Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district on Saturday.

Chief Minister Stalin, expressing shock and grief over the deaths, said that he has directed officials to ensure special care for the injured worker at the Madurai government hospital

The blast is suspected to have taken place during the process of mixing chemicals and it flattened at least one room and led to the deaths.
