A Taunton man will serve time in state prison after being convicted of rape charges earlier this month, the district attorney said.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said that Dino Balanca, 50, of Taunton, was convicted on rape charges and sentenced to state prison.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said that a Taunton man who was convicted of rape on Jan. 16 was sentenced to between six and 10 years in prison. 50-year-old Dino Balanca was convicted of rape and intimidation of a witness.

Dino Balanca, 50, of Taunton, will serve a state prison sentence of 6-10 years for rape with a 3-year probation sentence to run from and after on the intimidation of a witness, the DA said.
