A tornado moved through Mississippi Saturday claiming the live of six people and injuring 29 others. According to Mississippi Govenor Tate Reeves, one death was reported in Covington County, two in Jeff Davis County and three in Walthall County.

A family was recording video as a violent tornado ripped through Tylertown, Mississippi, on Saturday afternoon.

Hailey Hart and her fiancé Steve Romero hunkered down with their three huskies inside their 1994 Toyota Celica as a twister ripped apart their home Saturday. Romero said he prayed out loud and hugged Hart as the car rolled onto its side, windows shattering, before it landed on its wheels again.

The dynamic storm from Friday through Sunday had earned an unusual “high risk” designation from weather forecasters.

Meanwhile, the severe weather threat will linger through Sunday from Florida northward into the upper Ohio River Valley, forecasters warned.
