At the 4:50 mark of the second period, the Oilers were bringing the puck into the offensive zone when a tray of nachos was thrown onto the ice by a fan.

Capitals goalie Logan Thompson said he was distracted by a tray of cheese-covered nachos thrown on the ice while Oilers winger Corey Perry scored on him in Edmonton on Tuesday night.

In a game where the Capitals struggled to get much going offensively, it was Thompson who helped hold down the fort. The Capitals' stars also stayed hot, with Pierre-Luc Dubois putting up another multi-point outing to help power D.C.'s offense and Tom Wilson striking again.
