Dozens of tow truck drivers gathered on Christmas at a park-and-ride off Interstate 94 to remember one of their own with a vigil. Hussain Farhat, 40, was killed on Christmas Eve when a blue minivan struck him while he was loading a disabled car on the freeway.

Hundreds of tow truck drivers have shown Farhat's family support since he was hit by a blue minivan along Interstate 94 on Christmas Eve.

Slow down and move over; that was the message in southwest suburban Bridgeview on Friday, as at least 100 tow trucks gathered in honor of tow truck driver Hussain Farhat, who was killed along Interstate 94 in Wisconsin on Christmas Eve.

The tow truck driver who was hit by a minivan and later died on Dec. 24 in Waukesha County has now been identified, and a suspect is now in custody, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said the tow truck driver has been identified as Hussain Farhat, an employee of Yaffo Towing, which is out of Chicago, Illinois.

The Waukesha Police Department said around 6:41 p.m., a tow truck operator was loading a disabled vehicle on the eastbound shoulder of I-94 east of Sawyer Road when they were hit by a blue minivan that left the scene.

Hussain Farhat had just moved to the U.S., and his wife will soon have their third child. Hit-and-run suspect Christopher Sponholz turned himself in after he initially told his friends he thought he hit a deer,

A Milwaukee tow truck driver who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Christmas Eve, has now been identified and the suspect made an appearance in court Thursday.
