New York City officials say they're using forensics and video surveillance to identify the woman who burned to death on a subway car in Brooklyn, as the man accused of lighting her on fire was indicted by a grand jury on state charges.

A woman died after she was set on fire while sleeping in a New York City subway car on Sunday morning, according to police. A person of interest in the case was taken into custody later in the day, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.
