A year before Lady Gaga performed the Super Bowl Halftime Show (where she also seriously delivered), Mother Monster belted her heart out with the national anthem, showing that for all of her usual spectacle and attention-grabbing antics, her best assets are simply her powerhouse pipes.

The most watched rendition of the national anthem is performed each year at the Super Bowl, with 80,000 people in attendance and over 100 million more viewing and listening from afar.  It’s the grandest stage of all,
