Since Tuesday evening, most of the viewing area has picked up at least 2-5″ of snow, with the heaviest snow falling east of Highway 17 and along the coastal communities. Some areas along the Outer Banks will end up with 6-8″ of snow before the last of the snowflakes depart by late morning.

A report was issued from the NWS Wilmington NC on Monday at 6:07 p.m. for fog until Tuesday at 4 a.m. The alert is for Coastal Pender, Coastal New Hanover and Coastal Brunswick.
