A designer has imagined what a modern File Explorer would look like in Windows 10. It’s the best concept of the File Explorer we’ve seen yet, with tabs, nested folders, and more.

For example, File Explorer in Windows 11 already has tabbed navigation, but the two-window split view is new and lets you easily move files back and forth between two locations.

The latest beta version of Windows 10, which is available to users on the Fast Insiders track, finally brings a dark theme to File Explorer to match the rest of Windows 10’s dark aesthetic.
