SOUTH BAY, Fla. (CBS12) — A crash near South Bay involving a tow truck towing another tow truck and a van ignited a fire that required 1,000 gallons of water to extinguish on Monday morning.
Arlington Heights fire crews arrived at approximately 3:58 p.m. Arlington Heights police said they determined a fire on the truck caused the liquid natural gas tank on the truck to explode.
The fire was reported about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, engulfing the 20-foot truck on the eastbound 101 Freeway, near the 405 Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
