The Frito-Lay voluntary recall on a limited number of Lay's Classic potato chips due to an undeclared allergen has been updated by the FDA to Class 1.

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a Class 1 recall, the highest level of alert, for select bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips. The chips were found to have contained undeclared milk, one of the FDA’s eight major food allergens that pose life-threatening risks.
