CENTREVILLE, Ala. ( WBRC) - Crews across Alabama are working to get roads ready for the winter weather potentially headed our way. Several cities in west Alabama could be impacted by snow. In Hamilton and Centreville, they are ready with their sand and barricades, if necessary, to block off streets.

Forecasters have increasing confidence that Alabama will have to deal with some winter precipitation on Friday. The big questions remain about who gets snow, who gets ice and who gets rain. Above is the The National Weather Service said confidence continued to increase about the probability of winter precipitation affecting the northern half of the state on Thursday into Friday.
