Saturday marked another year of demanding change in times of worry for many. Crowds called for women's rights, human rights and more on International Women's Day.

To support women and gender equality year-round, this year's International Women's Day theme, "Accelerate Action," called for the acknowledgment of strategies, resources and activities that positively impact women's advancement, and support and elevate their implementation, according to the International Women's Day website.

At the Colorado State Capitol on Saturday, thousands gathered to protest for International Women's Day. The day commemorates the fight for equality and the women's rights movement.
