The Windows 10 version of Hyper-V allows you to choose between standard and production checkpoints. Needless to say, production checkpoints are a very welcome feature in the latest version of Hyper-V.

Open Hyper-V Manager. Select the VM you want to rename the checkpoint of. You will see its checkpoint in the Checkpoints section, select it. Now, go to the Actions section, and click on Rename.
