Microsoft finally launched its hypervisor technology, Hyper-V Friday, 144 days after the February launch of Windows Server 2008 (WS 2008).

Neither, and that's the problem. I can't interface with it at all. The Server Management Tools give me the errors in the OP, and the Hyper-V Management Tools only let me work with the VMs.
