One of the oldest collectibles in the toy world are dolls and none more so than the Kestner dolls made in Germany. The company began in the very early 1800s with wood and paper mache dolls.
Doll collecting isn’t as popular as it was 20 or 30 years ago, and prices paid for antique dolls have gone down. Mom’s doll would sell in the $100 to $200 range.
