After years of D’Angelo Russell trade speculation, the Lakers are finally moving the point guard, agreeing to send him to the Brooklyn Nets for Dorian Finney-Smith, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported. It’s the second time in his career Russell has been traded from the Lakers to the Nets.

Recently, NBA insider Marc Stein took to X, formerly Twitter, to break down another offer that the Lakers had to one-up in their attempt to strike a deal with the Nets.

The Los Angeles Lakers have made a trade to shore up their rotation. Los Angeles is sending point guard D'Angelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis, and three second-round draft picks to the Nets. In exchange, the team is landing forward Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton.
